The Springboks take on the old foe, New Zealand, at the Stade de France in Paris, France on Saturday at 21h00.

Fans and pundits alike are predicting a colossal battle in wet conditions, with many sitting on the fence as to the outcome. It really is too close to call.

The Boks beat the All Blacks in their last meeting, taking home the bragging rights from Twickenham in London, England with a 35-7 victory.

Earlier in 2023, New Zealand ran out 35-20 winners in Auckland, while the last time the sides met in the World Cup was in 2019, with the All Blacks winning 23-13 in Yokohama, Japan.

Probably the most iconic meeting between the sides came in 1995 when South Africa beat New Zealand in the World Cup final at Ellis Park in Johannesburg. Who could ever forget Nelson Mandela handing the trophy over to Francois Pienaar?! Goosebumps!

Both sides will be heading into this final hoping to win their fourth World Cup title, while the Boks will be hoping to go back-to-back after lifting the William Webb Ellis trophy in 2019.

Starting Side: Damian Willemse; Kurt-Lee Arendse, Jesse Kriel, Damian De Allende, Cheslin Kolbe; Handre Pollard, Faf de Klerk; Duane Vermeulen, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Siya Kolisi (captain); Franco Mostert, Eben Etzebeth; Frans Malherbe, Bongi Mbonambi, Steven Kitshoff.
