Being Women’s Month, we have chosen to recognise and celebrate
women from our world who are making a tangible impact in South Africa. Meet
East Coast Radio’s General Manager, Boni Mchunu.
Listen to our interview with Boni Mchunu or read the details under the podcast.
They say behind every successful man, there’s a strong woman. Well, we say behind our very successful radio station there’s an #UnStoppable woman who we call our boss lady, Boni Mchunu.
Born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, Boni is passionate about KwaZulu-Natal and its people. She is the youngest of five sisters and was brought up by a single dad, who she calls her 'Rockstar'.
Naturally, our strong-headed #BossLady was no ordinary child. Growing up she already knew she did not want to conform to what the township she resided in had to offer.

Boni excelled at every facet of her life, especially her education. If you had to meet this powerhouse of a woman, her greatest expression to you would be her passion for education.
Apart from being a successful businesswoman, she is also a superwoman to three kids of her own, and a wife to her loving husband.
