Woman watches as 'love of her life' proposes to someone else on Instagram

Social media has had quite an influence on relationships, while advancements in technology have made things almost effortless but simultaneously made things a lot harder.

We all know the drama that can come from liking the wrong person's Instagram picture.

Or the questions that can follow after it comes to light that you are still, in some way or another, connected to your ex on a social media platform.

However, social media has made it easier for you to track down side-chicks and main chicks, while incriminating DMs are the new "I'm just hanging out with my friends", when in reality there are no friends, only secret lovers.

Now as mentioned: discovering your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife is cheating is absolutely devastating.

You are most likely sad, mad, and dealing with a broken heart.

And just when you thought it couldn't get worse, not only did you find out your significant other is cheating on you with someone else, but they are also asking this person to marry them! On Instagram stories! And you are watching it all!

That's exactly what happened to Twitter user @SimplyDipontsho, who was minding her own business on Insta when she came across a post that would change her life.

In a series of tweets, she explained how she was watching television when all of a sudden she saw something that made her whole world fall apart:

"How was I supposed to tell you?" What kind of gameplan did this man have in the first place?

Finally, she revealed what exactly had happened and how she found out.

People following the story were shocked, to say the least.

Even after finding out her man had asked another woman to be his wife, @SimplyDipontsho wasn't even mad at the woman who had ended up with the man she imagined a future with.

For that, we have to applaud her. If you were in this exact situation, would you be able to take a note from her book and be the bigger person?

Probably not.

While we can only begin to imagine the heartbreak she must be feeling, hopefully, she'll be able to put this craziness behind her, move on and find a man that will treat her right.

And they'll live happily ever after.
