We never thought it possible, but over the past few years, we have learned that climate change has caused significant uncertainty in weather patterns.

Even in our beloved country, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued weather warnings of a severe cold front at the beginning of the week, and if we're honest, it put everyone on high alert.

"A Level 2 warning for snow primarily affects the central parts of the Western Cape and southern parts of the Northern Cape." (News24)

While extremely icy conditions were predicted for Johannesburg, KwaZulu-Natal was warned to remain alert due to severe wind.

Watch how severe the wind has been in Cape Town; a waterfall near the mountain area was not falling but rising.
