This week, we discovered that Nesquik is in the process of being tossed from our shelves.
That made Carmen and Sky think about the other items that have been discontinued.
"Guys, one minute I'm eating the awesome Chocolate Log and the next, ayiko at all," says Sky.
Since it is #ThrowbackThursday, the Breakfast team looks back at various foods that are not longer available on South African shelves.

Pecks Anchovette and Redro Fish Paste
Pioneer sadly ended the production of Pecks Anchovette and Redro Fish Paste in SA.
According to a spokesperson, the company chose to stop making the fish paste products towards the end of last year as part of an "ongoing portfolio review".
Nestle Chocolate Log
Gone are the days of people going to the shops to buy a Nestle Chocolate Log. Back in 2020, Nestlé announced it was killing off the famous Chocolate Log.
In mid-2020, the East Coast Breakfast team even considered putting together a petition to bring it back.
KFC Avalanche
Do you remember the KFC Avalanche? Well, if you do, you will also know that it's also one of those delights that has been canceled.
According to X (formerly Twitter), the fast food outlet brought everyone to tears when they discontinued the KFC Avalanche.
@tay dolla on X even said that she can't understand why KFC stopped selling Avalanches in the first place.

Nesquik
Yes, you saw and heard the news of Nesquik being shelved forever.

This decision has not sat well with consumers.
