In today's fast-paced work environment, time is a precious commodity.
However, it often feels like meetings have a knack for eating up those precious hours. How many times have you found yourself sitting in a conference room, wondering if this could have been an email?

If you're nodding in agreement, you're not alone.
In comes a viral TikTok of a woman explaining how anyone can 'professionally' avoid participating in unnecessary meetings.
According to UpWorthy, career coach What Matters CIC recently shared the video on what phrases individuals could say if they felt pressured to say something in a meeting without having anything concrete to add.
The woman doesn't waste any time as she gets straight to it in the video.

We put out a question on our socials regarding the fact that many people seem to be doing this on a day-to-day basis.
The question we asked on socials was: 'What excuse have you used to get out of an unnecessary work meeting?'

The responses we received were quite interesting to say the least.
On our Facebook page, Wenley Venketas said: "Running stomach lol". Another comment on Facebook was from Thalente Mthethwa Mahlaba who said: "Fake emergency phone call."
We also liked the response Kesh Naidoo gave: "Doctor's appointment or there's an emergency at home."
