Updated | By Darren, Keri and Sky `
The new movie will be called 'Home Sweet Home Alone'
If you enjoyed watching the very first Home Alone film with the eight-year-old troublemaker Kevin McCallister, you will most rpbably love this one too. In the first one he had to protect his house from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation.
Now in 2021, they have created a reboot of the 1990 film.

In Home Sweet Home Alone the producers and writers aim to find the some kind of balance the first one had - a little bit of comedy, drama, action, family and most definitely Christmas in the movie.
The synopsis reads:
“Max Mercer is a mischievous and resourceful young boy who has been left behind while his family is in Japan for the holidays. So when a married couple attempting to retrieve a priceless heirloom set their sights on the Mercer family’s home, it is up to Max to protect it from the trespassers … and he will do whatever it takes to keep them out. Hilarious hijinks of epic proportions ensue, but despite the absolute chaos, Max comes to realize that there really is no place like home sweet home.”

The film has new main characters in this reboot and a new family. The leading character is Archie Yates played by Max Mercer. The 12-year-old actor made his feature debut in Jojo Rabbit as Jojo’s best friend Yorki.
The adults in Home Sweet Home Alone consist of Ellie Kemper (The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2) as the two thieves who attempt to break into Matt’s home; Aisling Bea and Pete Holmes as Max’s parents; as well as Kenan Thompson , Ally Maki, Andrew Daly ; Chris Parnell; Mikey Day; Cara Ricketts and Jayne Eastwood.
We’ll also be getting an appearance from an original Home Alone cast member, as Devin Ratray, who played Kevin’s older brother Buzz, is reprising the character in this new movie.

It is definitely a whole new movie remade but the feelings of Christmas and a mischievous tween outdoing fully grown men is the most adventure anyone needs during holiday season. It's the perfect amount of silly and cheesy.
Here is the trailer of the film which was officially releases on November 12, 2021 on Disney Plus .
