Man allegedly attempts to kidnap a child from a restaurant in Gauteng the middle of the day.

Parents are cautioned to be vigilant with their children in public spaces after a man allegedly jumped over a railing at a restaurant to kidnap a little girl.

According to Jacaranda FM, Police have confirmed the authenticity of a video on social media which shows an attempted kidnapping in a Florida restaurant, west of Johannesburg.
In the footage, you can see the family sitting at a table in the restaurant when a man jumps over, lunges toward their table, and grabs the little girl by her neck.

Bystanders hurried to assist the family who were seemingly shocked, and a businessman has been hailed as a hero for wrestling the man down and freeing the child from his clutches.
The 24-year-old suspect appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
