While out and about this past weekend, Keri spotted something in the distance and shared the footage on her social media.

If you were around in Durban this past weekend, you would have experienced some pretty awesome weather. Sun, sands, and refreshing drinks were definitely the order for the weekend.
However, for our dear Keri Miller, a Sunday afternoon visit to Umdloti Beach turned into an interesting one when she spotted a floating Whale carcass while seagulls flew above it.

"It was such an incredible thing to witness a majestic creature like this. Whether it was dead or alive, it was a reminder of some of the life that is out there," said Keri.
She took to her Instagram to share footage of what she witnessed.

According to ECR Newswatch, the Whale carcass washed up on the Umhlanga lagoon on Sunday night, and bathing has been banned between Umdloti and Umhlanga. The carcass is said to be about 15 meters long. It's the second occurrence of a whale washing up on the shore after a juvenile humpback whale beached at Pipeline, near Amanzimtoti back in August.
Facebook user Graeme Brunt posted pictures of the beached up Whale and shared them with us.
