WATCH: Black Mamba gives snake catcher the run-around in Durban home

The rescue process was not a one-man job as more hands on deck were needed to find this 2.1m long reptile.

Snake Rescue Extra's Nick Evans had quite a tough job on his hands when he was called to assist an elderly woman who had a black mamba in her laundry room in Westville, Durban.
"It was funny and scary because a friend of mine, who is very old, was sitting in the laundry room reading and noticed the mamba slithering past her feet under the table," Nick told News24.

He continued to explain that the mamba was heading towards the woman's kitchen when she got up with her walking stick and pulled it back out. It then went into hiding.
Proving to be a more difficult job than the seasoned snake catcher had bargained for, he enlisted the help of two of his friends who live in the neighbourhood. After tearing some cupboards down, the snake was caught and released into the wild the next day.
