Watch: Age is just a number for 11-year-old music prodigy
A beat dropping expert is making strides in her career at the tender age of 11.
From the likes of Biggie Smalls, Tupac and Rakim, musical prodigy is setting more than just bars in her life.
Kool Fresh competed in the DMC DJ Battle, which is known as the biggest DJ battle in the world and won the competition. In an interview with Mashable, she explains the origins of her talent.
"Looking back on it, when I touched the turntables I didn't know what I was doing, but I just felt connected to it," said Kool Fresh.
Her musical talent started at the age of 7 when she went to DJ Camp called Beat Refinery which helped her develop her basic skills in music. Kool Fresh's passion grew when she started making playlists on YouTube.

The musical expert's parents played a pivotal role in her life by ensuring she is well educated and is constantly working hard to achieve her goals.
Kool Fresh says her family's motto has all the key ingredients for a winning recipe of success - Hard work, dedication, sacrifice, courage, focus and determination.
