We love it when local stars just go viral on the internet for their undeniable talent! Nine-year-old Gugulethu Ndendze is one of those stars...
Following a video of her performing an opera aria at church went viral, she has since been one to watch in the future of opera.

The little girl from East London had her mother, Fundiswa Ndzendze, post this video on Facebook which has now opened so many opportunities for her. She has been invited to one of the best music festivals in KwaZulu-Natal during the festive season to share her gift.

Her father, Bongani Ndzendze, has also since shared that the support they received on their daughter’s journey has been amazing and they could not express their gratitude.
“Gugu was ecstatic and humbled at the same time about the festival. We are surprised she has gained confidence and is performing new songs,” he said.
He also shared that they have received support from the department of sport, recreation, arts, and culture when his daughter’s video made the rounds on social media.

Gugu is also delighted to be making these strides for herself, but also for the Eastern Cape province and the country at large.
“I am very excited and looking forward to making people proud through my performances,” she said.
