Want to drop your 9-5 job to manage a guesthouse on a remote island?

The Tighard Guesthouse is located on Isle of Canna, just over 32 kilometres from the Scottish mainland.
If you want to take a break and focus on something different, this might be it! You can take over the lease from the owner and manage the guesthouse as the owner.

They have received 100 formal applications from all over the world so far, ever since they advertised the role in November last year.
You will be managing 15 residents at the remote island and they are a mixture of Gaelic and English speakers.
If you do not mind any of the isolation and the cold and wet island weather, then this is definitely for you!

According to you National Trust Scotland, this is not really a job but truly a business opportunity for the incoming tenants.
A huge requirement from the Trust is to submit business plans. You have to outline how you will run the business and how it will contribute to the local economy.
After making it to the final level of interviews, you will get a tour of the island and meet the community trust during the Easter period.

The guesthouse has three guest bedrooms, an orchard, woodland, and a lawn.
There is also a private room, ruling out any applicants with children.
