We are in the swing of the Winter school holidays and it should come as no surprise to us that kids will get up to mischief.

It is part of growing up and we should programme our minds to fully acknowledge this. But it doesn't excuse the fact that sometimes they can get themselves into trouble.

A child from Virginia, North Carolina, USA, got stuck inside a basket recently.

The young boy, Donny, is autistic and was trying to reach for a packet of chips from the bottom of the basket when he got stuck.

The emergency services were called to the home to help the boy. They described the incident as a “unique and heartwarming call”.

The video shared on TikTok shows the little boy stuck inside the basket with his mother trying to get him out. Clearly, after a few attempts, she was forced to call the emergency services. She said that they tried everything they could but nothing worked.

The emergency services called backup to assist in the incident, but it took one EMT to get Donny out. They laid him on his back, and he wiggled out.

Mom admitted she could not turn her back on Donny for what she called a millisecond. He is well and uninjured.
