Video: Cash-in-transit van blown up amidst traffic
This shocking footage of a cash-in-transit van being blown up during an armed heist on one of Johannesburg's highways has gone viral!
It looks like our new Minister of Police, Fikile Mbalula, has a lot to face already after a series of cash-in-transit heists took place across the country, with the most recent ending with an explosion on one of Johannesburg's highways.
The incident took place on the R24 towards OR Tambo airport. In the video below, you can see cars frantically attempting to turn round as the bangs of gunfire and explosions ring out.
But that wasn't the only cash-in-transit heist that took place this weekend. Twitter users began sharing videos of an incident that took place in the Rylands area of Cape Town.
