Should Telkom have chosen a South African athlete to partner with instead of Usain Bolt?

South Africa's national telecommunications operator Telkom today announced that that it has teamed up with Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt to promote fibre technology‚ which it is currently rolling out as part of its campaign to provide more South Africans with broadband technology.
Bolt is regarded as the fastest person in history and the first man to hold both the 100 meters and 200 meters world records. He is the reigning Olympic champion in these events and the first man to win six gold medals in sprinting.
“We believe that Bolt‚ as the fastest person in the world‚ will assist us in creating awareness of the speed‚ consistency and reliability that fibre technology offers‚” - Telkom’s Chief Marketing Officer‚ Enzo Scarcella‚ said in a statement announcing the partnership.
Do you think that Telkom, as a South African Telecommunications company, should have chosen an athlete from home to partner with, such as Anaso Jobodwana?
During the filming of the Telkom promo Bolt thanked his many South African fans for their ongoing support :
