Durban's famous pier has been under construction...
If you have been prancing along the uMhlanga promenade recently, you may have noticed that the Whalebone Pier has been under construction.
What is the real reason for one of our favourite views being closed off?

According to Mxolisi Kaunda, uMhlanga's Whalebone Pier is being renovated, and the hope is that it'll be completed before the busy December period.

Mr Kaunda shares: "Since 2009 we have not done any work on it. The work we are putting in during this 3 month project will make it one of the most photographed places. It is one of the world's most beautiful piers and its upkeep needs to reflect that."
