UPDATE: Josh Redman and the Litterboom Project hit a brick wall
There have been new developments from the Litterboom Project team regarding the cleaning of beaches.
LATEST UPDATE:
The last time we heard from Josh Redman was that his team the Litterboom Project had finally made it to the Ohlanga River.
However, they had a setback upon entering the river.
They have run into various dead ends and it seems like they are being blocked at every entrance, they then held a meeting.
There is an organisation that has tried to clean the Ohlanga Lagoon.
Josh Redman from THE LITERBOOM PROJECT has been on a mission to save our waters from being polluted.

They have a group who have been trying to get into the lagoon and clean the area themselves.
This comes after Darren, Keri, and Sky received an email from Josh.

The costs involved with removing contaminated litter are massive and have derailed the mission.

There was the aQuellé Tour Durban where Durban's favourite Cycling Event was back on our shores.
John, who had participated in the race, talked about something he couldn't hide from after seeing and smelling it.

The issues with some of KwaZulu-Natal's beaches have become a major concern.
If you have been close to any water source in Durban, you would have recognised the unmistakable smell of human excrement - and people are not happy.
Hi team. I rode in the aQuellé race today (Sunday 11 September). The Ohlanga river mouth is a disgrace as it's full of litter and smells like a bad sewer. Is no one in the city council responsible for this? We will lose our blue beach status!
Before Tuesday, Josh had spoken to Darren, Keri, and Sky about how our water is continually being polluted and how it could affect our way of life in KZN.
