UPDATE: Everything about the eight deaths at Travis Scott's concert

There has unfortunately been multiple injuries and deaths following Day 1 of #AstroFest concert. An injured concertgoer has since filed a suit against Scott over the “predictable and preventable tragedy”

Travis Scott, Live Nation, and ScoreMore have been sued by an injured Astroworld Festival attendee, Billboard reports.

On Friday, November 5, the concert ended terribly with eight deaths, scores of injuries, and multiple incidents of cardiac arrest. 

They were sued for gross negligence and the victim seeks at least $1-million in damages. 

Whilst those conversations happen, Travis Scott will pay for the funerals for the eight people who died at the Astroworld Festival in Houston over the weekend. He is also offering free mental health care and additional aid to those impacted by the tragedy, his management team announced on Monday.

Kylie Jenner's partner will pay for the services out of his own pocket and provide all the necessary items and help to the families to ensure they can have proper burials with no questions asked, sources close to the rapper added to TMZ. 

Scott has come out and spoken about his devastation over what happened.

Scott’s team said in a statement: “Travis remains in active conversations with the city of Houston, law enforcement and local first responders to respectfully and appropriately connect with the individuals and families of those involved."

“These are the first of many steps Travis plans on taking as a part of his personal vow to assist those affected throughout their grieving and recovery process.” 

The star is also working closely with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Mental Health America National, and MHA’s Greater Houston chapter to direct people who are in need of services. 

Despite all of this, the artist is still being condemned for not acting with urgency whilst the chaos was taking place in the crowd.

This has forced multiple people, artists, and event companies to have conversations regarding proper planning and preparations of events of this nature.
