The State of the Nation address took place on Thursday, 20 June. Despite the seriousness of the event, Twitter found a lighter side of things.

3. Consolidating the social wage through reliable and quality basic services
4. Spatial integration, human settlements, and local governments
5. Social cohesion, and safe communities
6. A capable and ethical and developmental state

President @CyrilRamaphosa #SONA2019 address last night was, by general concensus, full of dreams but little in the way of detail. One positive was confirmation that @SAReserveBank mandate would not change. #Rand didnt react, was already trading weaker from yesterday’s best levels
