Twitter furious after Enhle Mbali files restraining order against DJ Black Coffee
Updated | By East Coast Radio
In 2017, Nkosinathi Maphumulo aka Black Coffee and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa tied the knot, but the last few years have been filled with challenges for the former couple.
Four years ago everything seemed fine. The celebrity couple was getting married, having kids, and living their best lives.

Slowly but surely the cracks in the relationship began to show as cheating rumours surfaced and more issues became pubic knowledge before eventually, Enhle and Black Coffee decided to go their separate ways. Since then, things seemed to simmer down, but this year it's all heating up again.
DJ Black Coffee has had to face his share of backlash over the past few months but following an alleged altercation in March, Mbali has taken things to court.

On the 12th of April 2021, Mbali went to the Randburg Magistrate’s Court to file a protection order against her former husband.
It is my duty as a woman to not only fight for myself but for every single woman in South Africa. The time is now.- Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa

Many activists showed up in support of Mbali, brandishing signs that read "Am I next?" and "#JusticeForEnhle", and groups such as Women For Change (a gender-based violence advocacy group) have voiced their support online.
While Twitter users are also backing Enhle, they are bringing attention to a very valid point: why did no one know about this?

There were one or two media outlets at the scene while it was all taking place and some even spoke to Enhle, but other than that there was no media coverage. Usually, these types of cases and stories would be plastered all over our timelines, but yesterday that was not the case.
Many people are only now waking up, hearing about the news and have shared their thoughts on this situation (and they are not happy thoughts).

There is a clear theme amongst these tweets:

At first one might not notice the lack of attention, because of the lack of attention!
But after scrolling through Twitter, you'll soon notice that popular celebrities, influencers, and more prominent names in these types of industries have indeed remained silent.

Is Twitter wrong for calling out these people and their silence? Are they choosing to not raise their voices because of Black Coffee's influence in the industry?
Whatever the case may be, hopefully, Enhle will continue to receive the help and support she needs.
