Traffic brought to a complete standstill on N2 due to protest action

Motorists advised to take alternative routes as the protest has now resulted in a major fire.
Expect major gridlock around Durban this morning as Durban Transport bus drivers have used buses to block off many major routes around Durban, causing major traffic and delays on the N2 north and southbound blocking off lanes near Westwood, Clare Rd bridge, M19 offramps, Newlands offramp, Kwamashu offramp, Newlands highway, Kwa Mashu Highway blocked off as well.
A motorist on the M4 southbound going into the Durban CBD has also given an update, revealing that the traffic on Riverside Road is terrible as other motorists are diverting on the M4.
Another motorist, Bruce (who is a tow-truck driver) spoke to Darren Maule as he witnesses it all.
