SuperSport United must release Jeremy Brockie
Updated | By Benedict Ngwenya
The lethal striker has handed in a transfer request, but the team has released an official statement saying that they have rejected it. What happens next?
SuperSport United say they have rejected Jeremy Brockie's transfer request. Benedict, Sky, and Darren weigh in on the situation. Listen to the podcast and then read more in the blog below.
The Kiwi is contracted to Matsatsantsa until 2020. Rumour has it that Mamelodi Sundowns want to seal his services.
I think SuperSport should cash in on the striker, who is turning 30 in the next two months. He is a very important player for them, but they can make some profit and buy a younger replacement.
Secondly, if someone is not happy where they are, they're not going to perform at their peak. Handing in a transfer request shows that he is desperate to move.
The only win-win situation here is letting the player go. Sundowns get the player they want and SuperSport make some money.
