What did we learn?

The survey reveals that 46% of South African men kickstart their day with a cup of coffee, showcasing its enduring popularity. Interestingly, 30% opt for Rooibos tea, reflecting its significant presence as a morning beverage choice. Water follows at 9%, underlining a health-conscious trend among morning rituals. Other infusions like black tea and herbal variants make up the remaining preferences.

For unwinding after a long day, Rooibos tops the list at 32%, followed by beer at 19% and coffee at 12%. Spirits and wine were also popular choices at 11% and 10% respectively. (Sowetan LIVE)

During physical activities like workouts, hydration remains paramount. The survey indicates that 67% of men prioritise water, with Rooibos tea emerging as the second most favoured drink, emphasising its appeal beyond traditional hydration choices. Other herbal tisanes and sports drinks follow suit, catering to varied preferences in fitness routines.

To our surprise, in social settings, Rooibos tea and beer share the spotlight at 47%, reflecting a blend of taste preferences and cultural influences.
