Many media sources share that “this is the year we plunged into darkness.”
Figures compiled by EskomSePush share that South Africans have faced a record-breaking 332 days of loadshedding in 2023. This signals that there is a severe escalation in the country’s power supply crisis.
This is an alarming increase from the previous 205 days of loadshedding in 2022.
Additionally, SA experienced a record-breaking 74 days of Stage 6 loadshedding.
