1. South African private schools are at risk of losing students
As with everything in life, school fees are on the rise, which can be of a crippling effect for parents.
KwaZulu-Natal is known for having some of the country's best private schools, but they aren't cheap.

According to Business Tech, economic experts are warning private schools in SA about learners within these schools who could be forced to drop out and move to model C schools (government schools).
This is because of the fact that parents are struggling financially.
2. Drinking at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar will not come cheap
The FIFA World Cup is a matter of days away and there's expected to be a lot of visitors in Qatar looking forward to watching the football.
As you know, if you watch any sport, most supporters would agree that drinking an alcoholic beverage is part of the experience.

Qatar has recently introduced a new sin tax, which has driven the price of alcoholic beverages through the roof.
In Qatar, the number of locations that are licensed to sell alcohol is limited to select hotels and restaurants.
In Qatar, being intoxicated is a crime, with up to six months in jail and a fine of 3,000 riyals (R13,500) the punishment.
3. La Liga forms partnership with KZN Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture
Speaking at the event, Dr Thobile Sifunda, who is the Deputy MEC, revealed the need for ladies football to be focused on following the recent success of Banyana Banyana.
Our very own Sky Tshabalala was the Master of Ceremonies (MC) at the launch of the partnership between the KZN Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture and Spanish football league, La Liga.

The launch came on the eve of the World Football Summit Africa, the first of its kind in Africa.

4. Zulu King set to embrace Qatari culture at this year's FIFA World Cup.
We are just days away from the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Interestingly, the KwaZulu-Natal hierarchy are making plans to attend the global showpiece.

King Misuzulu kaZwelithini and his wife, Queen Ntokozo Mayisela-Zulu, plan to travel to Qatar to attend the World Cup.
According to IOL, this was confirmed in a statement by Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
5. There seems to be a plot twist when it comes to the Elton & Simjee saga
Things have hit a whole new level with the Elton and Zeenat love story.
New reports via News24 state that Springbok dietician Zeenat Simjee claims that it was not her, but instead someone who looks like her, that was having an affair with Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies.

Simjee's lawyer, Frikkie Erasmus, has gone on to say that it was not his client who had been seen at an Mbombela guesthouse with Jantjies.
It was a matter of mistaken identity.
