Updated | By East Coast Radio
It was the game of a lifetime!
The win that struck a cord in the hearts of South Africans...
United we stand in South Africa our land!
In case you missed it, the Springboks pulled off a spectacular win by a single point - again!
As you can imagine, this had our East Coast Breakfast team at the edge of their seats, desperate for the final whistle seal the win.

The last few minutes of the clash might feel like a blur, but one thing is certain - the sweaty palms and the grey hairs are testament to the fanaticism of South African fans.
The hard-earned glory meant that New Zealand remained in the hunt for the title until the very last second. Many fans feel that this campaign has aged them - a single point win in the quarters against France, followed by a single point win against England in the semis pushed us to the brink of insanity.

Just because they love a little drama, the Bokke decided to replicate this formula when they led the All Blacks by a single point in the final five minutes. Some powerful scrummaging, and a barnstorming run by Jasper Wiese (who fought off four defenders) ran the clock and the curtain on a fairytale campaign down.
Celebrations continued long into the night. While Faf donned his (in)famous speedo, the nation marvelled at our marginal win.

We know that a Springbok World Cup win goes far beyond the realm of sporting success. It brings the country closer together and inspires us all too keep fighting. For every kind of South African, this is a moment to feel proud.
We did it. It might have been 23 players on the field, but we are Champions of the World.
