Hi Darren and The Big Favour.
I was listening to ECR this morning, as usual, and heard the interview with AMC Hunter. I'm a qualified chef with years of experience in the back and front-of-house aspects of the hospitality industry.

I was employed as the assistant restaurant manager at Billy G, Tsogo Sun Suncoast, and was retrenched in 2020 due to covid.
I then started up a food manufacturing company, producing a chili sauce that tastes local like no other, hence its name Durban Chili Sauce.
The rioting of 2020 caused a major delay in the growth of the business as stores weren't receiving the footfall anticipated and weren't willing to take on a new product.
In 2022 I partnered with a friend who had a trailer and built it up to provide char-grilled burgers and wors rolls, utilizing my Durban Chili Sauce, and my homemade chicken tikka marinade and chip spice.
We were based at the Virginia Airport and traded at events.

The partnership didn't end well (October 2022) and since the trailer was registered in his wife's name, they found it fit to not remunerate me for my share of the profit or services rendered.
Even used their lawyer to blackmail me which I refused to submit to, a case was then opened against me but thrown out by the state.
I had sought legal advice from legal aid, but they were unable to assist as I require a civil claims lawyer which I cannot afford at the moment.
It was a tough 2 months, but in January my sister managed to secure a loan to assist me in purchasing a food trailer.
Since January, it's been extremely difficult receiving a permit from the municipality to trade, even though unemployment is a requirement for the permit.

I've also been waiting for 2 months for the health department to complete an inspection, so I can trade from home in the meantime, but there's been no luck with that either.
It's been an extremely difficult 2 years with the stress of debts growing with no prospects of an income to reduce it.
My fiancé and I reside together, and she assists me in the food trailer with the marketing and sales.
The AMC Hunter big favor would assist me in procuring stock and performing the necessary upgrades required on the food trailer to make it more visually appealing and purchasing a tow bar for my vehicle as transportation of the trailer is expensive.
As well as cutting profits down drastically. The big favor, which is needed the most, is to be able to get a permit from the municipality so I can be able to trade again, reducing my debt and stress levels, and creating employment.
I would also be able to pay municipal bills which I haven't been able to for the past 3 months and the installments on the loan for the trailer for the past 2 months.
