Scottburgh Beach
For some peace and quiet this is the beach for you. You don't have to stress about safety in and out of the water, there are lifeguards on duty. This is a family-friendly beach you can head to this December.
uMhlanga Main Beach
If you are not a Durbanite, you will be told this beach is well known for the classic red and white lighthouse. The view is to die for and you'll love the amazing view for you Instagram pictures. This is one of Keri Miller's personal favourite beaches, so it comes highly recommended.
There are also some stores and restaurants you can head into before relaxing at the ocean.

Situated in the north of KZN, this beach is ideal if you are in the mood for a little destination drive.
Sodwana Bay Beach is quite far away from the city, so you will also enjoy some peace and quiet on this side of town.

If it gets sunny on your visit to Durban, this is the beach to visit.
You can head there with your family for a lekker braai. Fun fact: there is a cool ice-cream station at Amanzimtoti Beach.
