An abstract painting, 'Three Figures' (1932-34) by Anna Leporskaya, was vandalised at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center in the Russian city of Ekaterinburg.

We are disappointed to share that it was actually by the 60-year-old security guard whose name has not yet been disclosed.

It is shared that it was apparently as a result of boredom - during his shift he used a ballpoint pen to draw eyes on the abstract painting.

The doodling was discovered by visitors at the gallery in December last year.
