Saudi Arabia issues driver's licences to females for the first time

Ten women in Saudi Arabia have officially been licenced to drive for the first time in the history of the country.

The country is known for its strict laws, so to finally lift their ban on women being allowed to drive is a massive step in the right direction.
According to BBC, ten women have been issued licences ahead of the 24 June, which marks the official date when the ban will end. The country previously required women to ask permission from men to be driven around. Drivers had to be hired to get around.
