Residents in KZN on high alert after seeing lions roaming in Ulundi

Be vigilant out there, KZN!
KZN residents in Ulundi got the fright of their lives this week.
After lions escaped Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park earlier this month, another sighting has been confirmed.

On Tuesday, there were two lions spotted by a local near the Intibane Lodge in the Babanango policing precinct.
This put residents living near Ulundi on high alert.

To make matters worse, residents' fears increased after a half-eaten carcass of a cow was discovered.
Darren, Keri and Sky saw this as an opportunity to get more information about these rampaging lions.
Keri had her "bush wife" Karen Odendaal calling in today.

Karen, who is a qualified Game Ranger and Managing Director of Manyoni Game Reserve. Gave some important information and her own tips to avoid being eaten by a lion.

According to IOL, the mayor Wilson Ntshangase has reported that the Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park chopper was activated and a search was conducted.
"The lions weren't found as the tracks we found in Intibane and the Sweet Home Bush Camp near Ulundi ran dry," says Ntshangase.

The search will continue with the help of sniffer dogs.
Musa Mntambo, who is the Ezemvelo spokesperson, informed people that they are aware of the matter and are working closely with officials to capture the lions in a safe manner.
"We went to the area and could not find the lions. We did find a carcass that had been eaten," says Mntambo.
