From Umhlanga to Carnegie Hall! Reddam House Umhlanga make KZN proud!
A South African choir from over very own backyard is set to take on The Big Apple!
Reddam House Umhlanga is taking their performance to USA for a life-changing journey in June.
This co-ed ensemble, including 10 former Drakensberg Boys Choir students, is set to captivate audiences at renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall. Can you believe it?!
The voices behind the musical brilliance join us in studio this morning from 6am-9am. TUNE IN to catch how this local group are gearing up to become an international sensation.
With a mission to share their passion for music and foster global connections, the choir will participate in workshops, performances, and sightseeing activities during their time in New York City.
Carnegie Hall, Dalton School St. Patrick's Cathedral, Central Park, Times Square, and Broadway are among some of the institutional places that this group will be heading to.
“This tour might have been just over a year in the planning but, in truth, our College Choir has been preparing to embark on this journey of musical discovery and inspiration for many years under the guidance of maestro Mr Russell Scott. We have also forged bonds that transcend mere friendship. Through shared experiences and shared passions, we have become a tight-knit community bound together by our love for music and the excitement of this shared journey.”- Aidan McArthur, Choir Captain

Reddam House Umhlanga invites the community to join in celebrating the choir's achievements and supporting their fundraising efforts. The choir will be showcasing their talent at an outdoor concert under African skies at Reddam House Umhlanga on Sunday, 28 April. Tickets are available by contacting the school on (031) 566-5736.
