Rayleen Padayachee hits the high notes on 'The Voice SA'

The popular American TV show, 'The Voice' came to South Africa three seasons ago, and they have been unearthing talents ever since.

Every year the entries for 'The Voice South Africa' are overwhelming and the talent certainly keeps growing. The show aired back in 2016 and has churned out artists that no one would ever forget.

In the most recent episode of season 3, Rayleen Padayachee, a local singer sang her heart out to Alicia Keys' smash hit, 'If I Ain't Got You'. With her family rooting for her backstage, Rayleen gave an incredible performance. 

After hitting the right notes, she eventually stole the hearts of judges Lira, Riky Rick and Francois Van Coke.

The previous season winners became popular in South Africa and even went on to be nominated in the SA Music Awards.

Season 1 winner from Cape Town, Richard Stirton shared his glorious voice with South Africa and they were smitten. Richard signed his first record deal with Universal Music, and went on to release his debut album, 'Middle Ground'.

Season 2 winner, Craig Lucas won the hearts of South Africans from the beginning. The soulful singer signed with Universal Music and he released his album 'Restless' which went on to be nominated in the best pop category by SA Music Awards this year. 

Rayleen had a tough decision to make. With being spoilt for choice, she chose Team Lira to take her to the top.
