A queue at the drive-thru? Not for this taxi
Don't you just hate being stuck at a drive-thru? Well, this South African taxi said “not today” and overtook the queue – because hunger waits for no one!
Have you ever waited so long in a drive-thru that you wished you could overtake or fly over all the cars?
Well, while you’re still wishing… taxis are doing.
In a moment that screams “Only in South Africa,” a taxi driver was caught on camera pulling a classic SA move: overtaking.
Not on the freeway, though. Nope, at a drive-thru.
Yes, you read that right.
This maverick manoeuvred his way past the waiting cars like he was late for a wedding and had to fetch the cake.
Against all odds (and the general laws of drive-thru etiquette), he completes Phase 1 of his mission: overtaking the queue.
Now, we all know drive-thrus operate on a “first come, first served” basis, right? So there’s no way he got his order before the people he jumped, right?
Wrong.
In true taxi legend fashion, he somehow places his order and gets it faster than you can say “after robot”.
The ladies in the car he overtook? Shocked. Confused. Flabbergasted.
Both of them dropped a classic “Haah?!” in perfect harmony, as if they’d been rehearsing it their entire lives.
Honestly, we wouldn’t believe it either if we didn’t see it with our own eyes.
