Prev Reddy talks his Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards nomination
The KZN entertainer and actor has been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award in the African Social Star category.
Officially, Prev Reddy is the first South African-Indian to be nominated for a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award! Sharing his excitement with Darren, Keri, and Sky, he says he is truly honoured to be nominated.
His alter ego, Aunty Shamila, constantly leaves social media in stitches. Throw in sold-out shows in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban, and Prev is quickly becoming a household name.

Prev has been nominated alongside other favourite African stars Patricia Kihoro, Shekhinah, Sho Madjozi, and Teni.
Grateful for all the support he's received from friends and family across the country, he took to social media to announce his nomination:
"I cannot believe that this is real life and I am posting this. I’ve been watching the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards ever since I can remember and now I’ve just been nominated for my very own Kid’s Choice Award in the African Social Star category! I’m officially the first South African-Indian to be nominated for a Kid’s Choice Award and I know we’re just getting started! I want to thank all of you for all the love and support that has made this opportunity materialize, and for making my dreams come true over and over again! now is the part where I start begging you guys to vote! Be prepared, it’s coming."
