Prediction: 2016/17 PSL top 3
Updated | By Benedict Ngwenya
The 2016/17 Premier Soccer League season gets underway next week and this is what I think the log table will look at the end of the season.
3. Mamelodi Sindowns
The team is currently playing like a well-oiled machine and balanced in all departments but their involvement in continental tournaments is going to take its toll on the players.
They might also lose the likes of Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly to overseas teams which would be a blow to their title aspirations.
They have enough to challenge for the title but they won't win it.
2. Bidvest Wits
With an experienced coach like Gavin Hunt who won the league three seasons in a row with Supersport United between 2008 and 2010 you're always going to be in the title race but I still believe the team lacks a proper talisman who's going to step up to the plate in tight games.
Ever since the coach dropped Sibusiso Vilakazi who was subsequently sold to Sundowns the team has lost its cutting edge in the attack.
The acquisition of Mogakolodi Ngele and Cuthbert Malajila will be a major boost. They're going to be one of the best teams in the league if these two regain top form.

1. Orlando Pirates
They have had the strongest team in the PSL over the past couple of years and the only thing they had lacked was a quality coach. The arrival of Muhsin Ertugral will work wonders for the club.
Ertugral's marquee signing in the form of Abbubaker Mobara will solve the midfield stability problems.
The preseason friendlies have also given the coach ample time to asses his squad.
I foresee the mighty Buccaneers clinching the title this season.
