Political analyst weighs in on KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala

New president, new faces, and new cabinets. Who's in and who's out? Imraan Buccus, political analyst and academic, gives some insight into Sihle's Zikalala's new office.

Officially the new Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Sihle Zikalala has been sworn in - and so has his cabinet.
Here's what it looks like:
- Kwazi Mshengu: The new MEC for education is the chairperson of the ANC Youth League in KZN.
- Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu: From Dumbe in northern KZN, takes over the department of health from Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo.
- Nonhlanhla Khoza: Khoza is the new MEC for Social Development.
- Hlengiwe Mavimbela: Mavimbela hails from Umkhanyakude in northern KZN and she takes over the Sports, Recreation, Arts, and Culture department.
- Sipho Hlomuka: The new MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
We say goodbye to - Belinda Scott, former Finance MEC; Themba Mthembu, former Agriculture MEC; Weziwe Thusi, former Social Development MEC; Mthandeni Dlungwane, former Education MEC; and Dr. Sibongiseni Dhlomo, former health MEC.
In his inauguration speech, Zikalala made it clear that provincial government will be accountable at all times.
