Pics: Skolopad breaks the internet with her boerewors dress
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
Twitter users have called for the Feather Awards to be shut down until South African celebrities learn how to dress appropriately. Did Skolopad go too far with her meat dress and charcoal handbag?
Twitter was left in an absolute mess on the night of the Feather Awards when South African celebrities graced the red carpet in rather unusual outfits. However, it was Skolopad who stole the spotlight with her meat dress and charcoal handbag.
The entertainer and musician arrived at the Feather Awards in a clear plastic dress draped in boerewors, strategically placed to cover her lady parts - and instead of carrying a handbag, she carried a bag of charcoal.
Apparently she wore the dress to make it clear that she does not like 'beef, referring to the so-called feud between her and Zodwa Wabantu' explained TimesLive.
I wore it to show that I don't like beef. Wors is easy to braai. And like I have my charcoal, I'm ready to braai after this. The outfit is also to remind people that I am still Queen Skolopad, the original.- Skolopad
