Durban's finest swimmer has returned from the #Tokyo2020 Olympics and she chats with DKS about her experience representing Team Mzansi.
Emma Chelius, 25, was part of Team Mzansi representing us at the celebrated #Tokyo2020 Olympics. When we say us, we don't just mean South Africa. Chelius was born and bred in KwaZulu-Natal and having her in global swimming pools makes us proudly fly our Durbanite flags even higher.
When she arrived in the studio, her quirky personality naturally dived into the interview with our lively team.

She broke her own national women’s 50m freestyle mark at the Tokyo Olympics, which is something she celebrates regardless of not being a gold medalist; making it to the semi-final is an achievement she holds quite close to her heart.
Taking into account how her swimming career kicked off, it is inspiring how she made it all the way to national level.
"When I was eight months old, I accidentally fell into the pool and sank like a stone. My parents got a huge fright and my mum immediately started teaching me water safety and enrolled me in swimming lessons," she shared.
