Big news from Peppatown – Mummy Pig is having a baby!
That’s right, the beloved matriarch of 'Peppa Pig' made the exciting announcement on 'Good Morning Britain', much to the delight of fans (and probably the mild confusion of Daddy Pig).
“I’m excited to share that our family is getting even bigger,” Mummy Pig said, beaming with joy, until Peppa, ever the curious piglet, interrupted. “Because we’re having another baby!”
The official announcement is set to be shared on a special season 10 episode, 'The Big Announcement', which premieres on Nickelodeon on March 31, 2025.
Mummy Pig proudly showed off her sonogram, adding, “We’re all so excited!” Although as thrilled as she is, she also admitted that the idea of three piglets under five is… well, a lot.
“I’m a little overwhelmed at the thought of three kids running around,” she confessed. “But mostly, I’m just completely delighted.”
It’s clear that this pregnancy is real and it’s happening, adding a whole new level to Peppatown.
Hasbro is even going the extra mile, having lined up several exciting events to celebrate the new baby, including a gender reveal in April and a name and birth reveal later in the year.
How did Peppa and George handle the news?
Peppa (4) and George (2) are mostly thrilled about the idea of a new sibling. Though, like any soon-to-be big sister and brother, they’ve had their moments of worry.
“They’ve had the occasional wobble,” Mummy Pig admitted, “but they’re mostly just excited.”
Of course, Peppa has many questions about the baby.
“Every day, they ask me how big the baby is,” Mummy Pig shared. “‘When is it coming? Does it like dinosaurs and muddy puddles?’ It never stops!”
As for what they’ll name the new piglet, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig are taking their time.
“I think we’ll just wait and see what feels right,” she said. “That’s what we did with Peppa and George. But who knows? Every baby is different. If the perfect name appears, we’ll just know.”
So, Peppa fans, what do you think – will it be another “G” name? Something completely new? Maybe Muddy Puddle Pig? For now, all we can do is wait.
