Oh no, she didn't! Influencer's poop face mask causes outrage
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
A Brazilian woman's skincare routine, which involves rubbing her faeces all over her face, has us clutching our pearls
From Jennifer Aniston's salmon sperm facial to Kim Kardashian's vampire facial, we've seen it all as far as bizarre skincare routines are concerned.
However, applying human poop to your face was not on our bingo card for 2024.
A Brazilian influencer stunned her 657,000 Instagram followers recently when she posted a video of her new skincare routine. The key ingredient in the face mask she used was her faeces!
Now, we are all for homemade face masks, but this has got to be a beauty crime. In the video, Débora Peixoto is seen removing a small container of poop from her fridge.
She then uses a face mask application tool to apply the faeces before using her hand to spread it evenly all over her face. After applying the mask, she puts a clothes peg on her nose to make the odour of the poop bearable while she leaves it on her face.
She then washes her face after several minutes.
Débora revealed in her post caption that this is the craziest thing she has ever done. Hmm, you don't say!
The model claims she saw some research online that raved about the benefits of applying poop to your face and decided to give it a try.
"It worked for me; my skin stopped peeling!" she wrote in Portuguese.

Social media users were not convinced by her new beauty routine. Many slammed Débora, calling her behaviour irresponsible.
"People are getting too extreme on the Internet. This is worrisome," one Instagram user wrote.
Another commented: "This is why aliens don't talk to us."
Some accused Débora of clout-chasing. They didn't believe that she applied faeces to her face, which made the whole thing even worse because one of her obsessed fans might actually try the routine.
Doctors have warned that there is "absolutely no scientific benefit" to applying human poop to your face. It could also cause skin irritations that would have the opposite effect of glowing skin.
"Faeces contain a plethora of bacteria, viruses, and parasites, including E. coli, Salmonella and helminths, which can cause serious infections and diseases. Applying faeces to your face can introduce these pathogens into your body through small cuts, abrasions or mucous membranes, leading to severe skin infections or systemic illnesses," an expert told What's The Jam.
