Moses Mabhida Stadium's R60-million worth of repairs

eThekwini Municipality clears the air amid rumours of how the iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium needs more money to be repaired than what was originally indicated.
KwaZulu-Natal has gone through the most in terms of flooding, looting, and other things that have plagued this great province.
When it comes to Durban in particular, people have at least found joy in having some sort of entertainment back in the stadiums.

eThekwini mayor Mxolisi Kaunda has revealed the municipality has spent about R60-million repairing the stadium in terms of its structural defects, with the repairs still ongoing.
Repair work on the structural defects
was recommended by engineers to
ensure that the stadium remains safe to use.

Even though the stadium does have its challenges, the mayor has stated that it has remained operational and fit to serve its purpose.
“Yes, there are challenges, we acknowledge that, we do not deny, but we are also trying to do our part to fix these challenges,” says Kaunda.
