Can you imagine a world where your bank card or even money is a thing of the past?
These items would be replaced by a microchip in your hand serving as the payment medium.

Yup, the man who describes himself as a 'cyborg with 11 magnet & 21 RFID implants', just lifts his left hand to a card reader and 'Approved!' or 'Declined' will show up.
Walletmor shared with CNN that they became the first company to offer implantable payment chips for sale.
The look of their chip is basically the microchip itself and an antenna encased in something that looks like plastic.
Sounds fairly simple...

Or does it?
There have only been 500 people who've bought Walletmor's chip since they started sales.
People are obviously still hesitant to have any kind of technology installed in their bodies.
The technology used for this specific Walletmor microchip has two systems: one is the one similar to the contactless payment system in smartphones - something like Apple Pay. The second one is the technology found in physical contactless debit and credit cards.

According to Paumen,
"Only when there is a magnetic coupling between the reader and the transponder can the implant can be read."- Patrick Paumen

So once does not have to obsessively worry about their safety or whether their personal information is out there in the open.
As the technology advances this might definitely change...
