KZN is reeling from the aftermath of the devastating storm which hit on Sunday night. Homes have been destroyed, lives lost, and schools were closed in the process. Some residents are even fighting for their lives in hospital.
Darren, Keri, and Sky are in complete awe of the heroic men and women who risk their lives to save others. Paramedic Chris Botha is one of those heroes. He and an off-duty paramedic rushed to the scene and selflessly saved an Amanzimtoti man's life.
Paramedics were told a man in the neighbouring house had not been evacuated. They found that the man had slipped, injuring his head. They suspected other injuries, too.
Thankfully, this story has a happy ending.
East Coast Breakfast salutes all those who risk their lives to save others!
