these great lunch box ideas will set the right tone for the year.
What better way to start the new day at school but with a lunch box full of delicious goodies for lunch time!
Mom and dads, cheese and tomato sandwiches are so 2014, and processed sandwich spreads are not that great.
If
you've been wondering how to make your kids eat healthier foods without
boring them to death with peas and celery sticks, we have 10 cool lunch
box recipes which are easy to make and are healthy to eat.
2 cups shredded chicken
1 avocado
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp lime juice
1 tsp fresh cilantro
1/4 cup mayo
1/4 cup plain Greek Yogurt

Not only does this colourful salad look too yummy not to eat, it's packed with vegetables making it a super healthy meal!
Also known as the 'Fiesta chopped salad', it makes fresh food eating easier and it's a winner with adults and children.
Ingredients:
4 cups of your favorite lettuce, washed, dried and roughly chopped ( I used romaine and butter lettuce)
1/2 cup corn
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup black beans
1 large avocado, roughly chopped
1/4 cup diced red onion
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or chopped. ( for vegetarian version, substitute with extra black, pinto or garbanzo beans)

Sesame stir-fry wrap
Packed with wholesome goodness, it's suitable for vegan and those looking to increase their vegetable intake.
Ingredients
juice ½ lemon
1 large wholemeal tortilla wrap
½ x 265g pack stir-fry vegetables
½ tbsp sesame seeds

1 1/4 cups frozen peas
1/2 x 440g packet shelf-fresh noodles
1/4 cup self-raising flour
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup rice bran oil
Cherry tomatoes and carrot and celery sticks, to serve
