Miss SA Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters' reign requires that she does a number of community activities. One such activity was helping at a soup kitchen for a children's home called 'Ikageng' in Soweto.
Demi-Leigh posted pictures of her and some of the children at the home with the caption,"It's been an amazing morning. Special thanks to @TheMaslowHotel team for this wonderful initiative. #MaslowSoupKitchen"

But things quickly turned sour as social media pointed out and complained as to why she wore gloves during her visit.
