Limpopo pastor uses flatulence to "heal" congregation
When it comes to healing methods, this has got to be a load of hot air...
In the last few years, we've seen our fair share of strange and suspicious practices.

While there is no scientific evidence to prove that these healing rituals do not work, there is even less research done into proving that they do work.
And sometimes you don't even need any official stats to tell you what you already know.

We know spraying Doom in people's faces will definitely not make them feel any better and we can kind of guess that the same goes for flatulence.
That's why it should come as no surprise that people have started calling out a pastor from Giyani, Limpopo, after photos of him and his congregation started making the rounds on the internet.

Self-titled pastor, Christ Penelope, the founder of the SevenFold Holy Spirit Ministries, can be seen sitting on the face of one of his congregants and he is allegedly farting in this person's face.

He claims that these farts help his congregants heal and that through this process all spiritual and physical problems are cured.
The pastor has addressed the controversy and spoke to Drum about his "unconventional" healing methods, saying that it is a demonstration of God's power.

He further claims that in order to provide these people who are in need of a miracle with the healing they need, he is only following a divine example that involves putting them into a deep sleep.
It started with Master Jesus when he stepped on Peter. It is the demonstration of God's power. Just like God made Adam go into a deep sleep, it is a similar thing. God did anything with the body of Adam while he was on the ground in deep sleep. He was not feeling anything.

He explained the healing ritual by stating that the fart needs to take place close to the person's nostrils for the healing power to enter their body so that it can do its "work" and he said that when they awaken, they would affirm that they had felt nothing while asleep.
While the pastor claims that people have healed from this exercise, many people have accused him of perpetuating and hiding behind his shameful and degrading actions by justifying it with religion.
