KFC just dropped Fried Chicken Toothpaste

Just when we thought we’d seen it all… KFC just dropped a fried chicken-flavoured toothpaste.

Okay, wait. Let’s all take a moment to check the calendar… nope, it’s not April 1st.

So this isn’t a prank. Of all the things we could be doing in 2025, we’re brushing our teeth with KFC toothpaste now.

In what can only be described as the most unhinged collab of the year, KFC has teamed up with Australian oral care brand hismile to drop – wait for it – a Fried Chicken Toothpaste.

Also, because brushing your teeth with chicken-flavoured toothpaste wasn’t enough chaos, they’ve gone ahead and thrown in a matching toothbrush.

This limited-edition dental duo is apparently inspired by KFC’s legendary 11 herbs and spices, promising to bring that “finger lickin’ good” flavour straight to your bathroom sink.

We’re talking full-blown Original Recipe realness… but for your molars.

According to the press release (and yes, this is real – we checked twice), this is a “full-on flavour takeover”, combining the boldness of KFC with hismile’s quirky, rule-breaking approach to oral care.

Before you panic, though, it’s not just fried chicken in a tube. The toothpaste is fluoride-free and actually meant to clean your teeth, not coat them in grease.

Is it weird? Absolutely.

Is it genius? Possibly.

Is it $72 (R1,400) for a novelty dental kit that’ll leave you wondering if you’ve hit peak capitalism? 100%.

So if your morning routine’s been feeling a little bland lately, now you have a chance to spice it up – literally.

Who needs mint when you can have a mouthful of crispy poultry goodness?

We don’t know if this finger lickin’ toothpaste will ever reach the shores of South Africa, but we definitely know that Colonel Sanders never saw this coming.
