Keri Miller's emergency beauty tips
Here are Keri's Quickies:
- Dirty Hair: If you can pull off a hair wrap or cute hat, DO IT! For greasy hair, I literally put some talc powder into my hands and onto my hair, it absorbs the oil.
Also, for all hair types, I am OBSESSED (said in Kim K's voice) with Dry shampoo (It comes in a spray can). Buy the dry shampoo that suits your hair, I go for the one that gives volume.
It is perfect for that last minute dinner/event and you don't have time to wash and dry. Spray, flip and smile. Done.
- Make-Up: I can't speak for every man in SA, but, the men I have wanted to go out with are not fans of an overly made up face. I think these are the three necessities that can take us from zero to date night hero - without a lot of fuss.
1 - Foundation: BB cream is a win, light with cover.
2 - Masacra: Give the eyes definition without painting on colours and struggling with liner. Makes the eyes pop in a natural way. I love the essence mascara, it is under R50, makes the lashes long without clumping. Basically, it is the bomb dot com.
3 - Lipgloss: I like a natural lipgloss, neutral, or no colour. I often will just use coconut oil on my lips. It is amazing. Plus you don't leave weird marks everywhere and I notice that my boyfriend doesn't want to wipe his lips after every kiss!
Dress/outfit creased???? No problem. Use your hairdryer for quick tumble dry-like results. I put on the dress or whatever and blowdry my outfit. The warm air helps to get it wrinkle free. And for collars? Hems? Ah, the hair straightener. A hand-held iron. I'm not sure if GHD would approve of my ways, but I have fixed many a messy collar with my hair iron!
Now, I am a lover of all things cheap, but don't skimp on your underwear. Find something that makes you feel sexy and powerful. More importantly, do it for YOU. And... FIND THE RIGHT SIZE BRA, it makes a huge difference and when I find a make I like, I buy three of them.

Dress for YOU. Have fun putting yourself together. Put on music. Enjoy your body, be proud to be you, and make good choices.
